The coach of the US national team, Jurgen Klinsmann, has warned Ghana to be ready for big fight when both sides face-off at the World Cup in Brazil.
Ghana and US have been drawn in Group G alongside Germany and Portugal.
Klinsmann also warned Portugal and Germany of his intention to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
“Our team has matured a lot over the last couple of years and we are going to give them a big, big fight,” Klinsmann said at a Fifa pre-World Cup workshop in Brazil. “We are expecting to go to the knockout stage, that means Germany, Portugal and Ghana will have to fight it out for the other spot (from Group G).”
He added: “We’ve come through a tough qualifying process where we proved our capability. We have a lot of good players.”
Ghana’s opening match of the tournament is against the US.
