Nollywood actress and businesswoman Monalisa Chinda has been dragged to the law court by her former editor of the newly launched magazine, ‘Monalisa’. Kelvin Keshi, the former editor dragged the actress to court over an alleged slander.
In an interview granted to City People in 2013, the actress is quoted as calling her former editor as a ‘half-baked journalist’.
In a lawsuit tendered by his lawyers, Megafield Solicitors, the suit frowned at Monalisa’s statement and called it slanderous.
Monalisa’s publicist confirmed in an interview with Nigeriafilms that the actress was aware of the lawsuit and was chanelling it to the right quarters .
“Yes, she’s been served and her lawyers are dealing with it appropriately.”
“The Kelvin guy is only trying to take advantage of Lisa’s (Monalisa) status and soft hearted nature because he’s got nothing to lose.”
