Sefi Atta for Ghana Voices Series

Nigerian novelist and playwright Sefi Atta is the guest reader at this month’s Ghana Voices Series.

Sefi Atta was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She was educated there, in England and the United States. She is the author of Everything Good Will Come (Interlink Books, 2005), Swallow (Interlink Books, 2010), A Bit of Difference (Interlink Books, 2012) and the collection of short stories, News from Home (Interlink Books, 2010).

She received the 2006 Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa and the 2009 Noma Award for Publishing in Africa. Also a playwright, her radio plays have been broadcast by the BBC and her stage plays have been performed internationally.

Sefi Atta currently lives in Meridian, Mississippi.

The reading will take place between 7 and 8pm at the Goethe Institute on Wednesday September 25, 2013.

Ghana Voices Series is organized by Writers Project of Ghana in partnership with the Goethe Institute.
