The Musicians Union of Ghana has held a one day orientation program for the newly elected National Executive Committee Members.
In an opening address, the MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour said the objective of the exercise is to introduce the executives to the ecosystem in which the Union operates and also bring them at par with the current programs of the Union.
Topics discussed at the orientation program included the Creative Industries, MUSIGA as a Union, the Union as an institution, the Financial Policy of the Union and the AJUMAPA Legacy.
There were presentations on these topics by Mrs Rahmy Waseem, a Chartered Accountant, the Administrator Rev Fiifi Khan Agyarkwa, the Director of Communications and Special Projects Ahuma Bosco Ocansey and the General Secretary of the Union, Deborah Freeman.
President Obour led the discussions of the various topics. Present at the program were all the Executive Committee Members which is made up of Bessa Simons 1st Vice President, Rev Dr Yawson 2nd Vice President, Deborah Freeman General Secretary, Ben Kolan National Welfare Officer, Chizzy Wailer National Organizer and Samuel Agyeman Treasurer.
The program took place at the Crown Apartmento Hotel.
So far the newly elected executives have held their maiden meeting and were recently feted by the Board Chairman of Kasapreko Ltd Dr Kwabena Adjei.
The newly elected National Executives Committee will be inaugurated on December 10, 2015.
