Veteran Highlife musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley is still bitter for his inability to win the MUSIGA Presidency and has said that he is not ready to work with the current president of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour also known as Obour.
Obour was recently re-elected as president of the Union securing 88 out of the 133 votes cast to defeat Gyedu Blay with 22 votes and 18 votes by Appietus at the MUSIGA Elections in October in Koforidua.
According to him, the election wasn’t free and fair that he cannot work with Obour’s administration.
Will he ever work with Obour if invited?

“I have heard that through the air, but the bottom line is I don’t like working with somebody who acquires a position by crooked means.” That does not sit right with me because everything [should be done] properly. It’s like sowing a good seed it will bear a good fruit” he said on Hitz FM.
He continued, “It is MUSIGA that selected the delegate to vote, it wasn’t a transparent thing for Appietus, myself and other contestants. So they choosing their own delegates signify that, they chose those they think will vote for them.”
He said he was going to court to help fight the “mafiarism” at MUSIGA, “If you want to talk about the constitution, it says that 10 delegated people must be selected from each region, Accra chose 30, Kumasi chose 20 and that flaunts the constitution. I am in discussions with my lawyers.”
