We often enjoy music and the beats that drive the lyrics but we give less attention to the producers of the beat and sound. Today on Ghanagist Star of the Week, we want to celebrate one young music producer and sound engineer who has grown steadily with his passion of beat making.

Joseph “Magnombeat”   Bulley is our Ghanagist Star of the Week!

Most people identify his brand with hip hop because of the Illuminati hit from Sarkodie which sparked a different sound and broke into the hearts and feet of every African hip hop music lover.

But have you heard Koene by Edem, Flowking Stone’s Number 1 featuring Manifest, VVIP’s Selfie Remix featuring Iddris Elba and Phyno, Samini’s Violate featuring Popcaan, Raquel’s Ke Ha Mi, Gasmilla’s Boosha, Kofi Kinaata’s Different featuring Kesse, and Asem’s Wasted? Now you have a clue of the music production genius we celebrating.

These are few of the songs he has produced so he is not solely a hip hop beat maker.

Magnombeat is a product of Christ The King Preparatory, St. Peters Secondary School and joined the University of Ghana, Legon from 2006 to 2010.

Beatmaking started for him in Sunyani when he visited his sister who was a teaching Assistant and visited some friends during his stay who introduced him to a Digital Audio Workstation, Fruity Loops.

He professionally started his beat making career in 2009. He started making music for his late brother’s friends in his rented apartment in Madina. Many have said his late brother is the only competition to Magnom. They both started running and producing for their own music label, Blue Paper Entertainment.

Magnombeat is one producer who listens to a wide range of sound. He confessed “my first ever beat didn’t sound so good to me. After a while, I listened to other works from some producers and realized what I was doing wasn’t so matured. I didn’t stop but tried and learnt to correct my errors and the passion has driven me to this stage”

His ultimate aim is to be one of the biggest producers in the world and not just Ghana.

Aside the music production, he has also done some marketing campaign production works; MTN AFTER 1,MTN PULSE-THEME SONG,CAMEL, MTN WORLD CUP THEME SONG and  KFC.
