Tigo Ghana under its Corporate Social Responsibility project dubbed Shelter4Education has come to the aid of students who sit under trees to learn, which subjects them to harsh weather conditions and poor learning environment.
In this light, we are building 4 and refurbishing 2 classrooms buildings at 6 different selected communities, each building will be a 6 unit classroom block. This project will go a long way to better the lives of these vulnerable children. These kids will be motivated to go to school, stay in the classroom when there are rains and lastly improve their educational background.
Schools such as St Joseph R/C Primary School for Special Needs Children in Obuasi in Ashanti region, Obeng Yaw L/A Primary School in the Upper West Akyem district of the Eastern region and Tupa LA Basic School in the Ga South Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra region have benefited from the #Shelter4Education initiative.
