Leading Highlife musician Ben Brako has assured the musical fraternity of a free and fair election at the upcoming MUSIGA Congress slated for October 29 – 31 in the Eastern regional capital Koforidua. Ben Brako made the comment after a meeting of the Election Committee for the elections to review the process so far.
Ben Brako chairs a five member committee in line with Article 11 of the Union’s constitution which stipulates that a five member committee be formed with the responsibility of supervising the process leading to the elections.
The committee will also have the responsibility of vetting and recommending the final contestants for the Congress.
The other members of the committee are Rev Dr Mary Ghansah, Pauline Oduro, A.B Crentsil and Dan Adjin.
According to Ben Brako the committee will ensure that they uphold the trust reposed in them and discharge their duties honorably.
