The Esum Aduru Yen (Darkness has befallen us) demonstration in Kumasi organized by the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) took place as promised.

The Demo which was organized by FIPAG to register their anger at the erratic power crisis which has affected their works witnessed about 500 participants.

NYDJLive reports that, Kumawood’s big actors and actresses such as Nana Ama McBrown, Vivian Jill, Emelia Brobbey, Kyeiwaa, Mercy Asideu and many others did not show up at the event.

It is not yet known why they boycotted the event organized by their bosses.

However some of the known faces spotted at the event were the executives of FIPAG, Samuel Ofori, Michael Afranie, Joe Shortingo, Wayoosi. FIPAG president, Mr. S. Asare Hackman was also absent.

Esum Aduru Yen (Darkness has befallen us) Demo started from the Kumasi Cultural Centre through to Bantama, Kejetia and to the Jubilee Park where they were addressed by the FIPAG Secretary Mr. James Aboagye.
