According to reports, Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan will not take part in the semi-finals match between Ghana and the host nation Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.
Happyghana.com reports that, the Stars talisman would hopefully return to take part in the finals or third/four place against either Cote D’Ivoire or Dr Congo.
Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara injured Asamoah Gyan in the final minute of Sunday’s quarter finals clash.
The goalie told reporters on Tuesday that, he will not apology for the challenge on the Ghana’s striker. He claims the incidence wasn’t intentional.
“It is not an intention to do that [hurt Gyan].”
“If I lost the ball, he [would have] scored. It’s normal I go to take the ball,” he continued.
“Apologise? No, because it was not my intention. If I do apologise, it means I did it intention [ally]. It is not my intention to do the bad thing.”
