Meet the faces of GhONE Entertainment TV

GEORGE QUAYE

Temperate and urbane, enthusiastic and charismatic, blasé and jovial, committed and compliant. Few words to describe the man widely known as Aboagye from his debut television appearance in the hit TV series, Taxi Driver.

With a Masters in Communications from the University of Ghana, he is a talented voice over artiste, MC, TV host/presenter, writer and producer. He has produced shows including It takes 2 (a game show), Stars of the future (a music reality TV show), the challenge (an educational reality TV show), the goodlife game show plus a number events including the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Festival.

At the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards, she won Best Actress for her role in The Perfect Picture. She’s no doubt one of Ghana’s finest actresses. A native of Teshie in Accra, Naa went into presenting when she was invited on several occasions as a guest on a Youth programme New Generation, on TV Africa.

She later presented Day Break Entertainment and eventually became a co-host to Okyeame Quophi on TV Africa variety show Sounds Splash.

She is a product of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and is currently reading law at the University of Ghana (Legon). Naa believes in professionalism and hardwork and shows a great deal of commitment in all her endeavours.

Aka BLACK BOY, Godfred is a charismatic, dynamic and entertaining radio and television presenter with a vast experience in the entertainment industry.

With a degree in English and Theatre arts from the University Of Ghana, he worked with Radio Universe, presenting many shows like “Space Jam”  “Night Universe” and a lot more. Black Boy has also worked with Joy FM and Choice FM, and is the host of the 2131 Banging Hip hop radio show, the first of its kind in GH.

On TV, he was the first host of 4 Syte TV, and hosted a number of shows in the United States and the United Kingdom. He’s interviewed and had encounters with Akon, Nattan, Sway, B.B. She’s a pretty, talented and seductive TV and radio presenter who is no stranger to the entertainment industry in GH. She started her entertainment career with Choice FM as a presenter then later on moved on to Hitz FM as a presenter and entertainment news reader. In acting, Mandy has starred in movies like Sinking Sands, Ties that Bind and the hilarious Wofa K TV series.

Amanda Jissih is also a voice over artiste with a lot of radio and television commercials to her credit. She is also into artiste management and has managed Buk Bak and other musicians. Amanda does a lot of public relations work for companies and individuals. Mandy Jay as she’s affectionately called has done exclusive interviews with renowned celebrities including; Bow Wow, Akon, Jay Z, Sean Paul and a lot more.

In 2004 she was crowned 1st runner up of the second season of Miss Malaika Ghana. Her proclivity for success has been creditable since, as displayed in successes chalked on every endeavour.

She is a talented and passionate professional with outstanding social skills. Going from strength to strength, known as a fashion icon and presenter, in Ghana; she graces the screen with her artistry, eloquence and bubbling sense of humor. She emulated the footsteps of her brother (Wanluv) and tried her hands on music; her single Uncle Obama was an instant hit.

She’s rode on the success of her hit song Uncle Obama and graced stages both locally and internationally and even earned an interview spot on CNN during United States of America 2012 elections. SAMMY BARTELS

Versatile, vivacious and intelligent. Sammy Bartels has wide sporting contacts locally and internationally and is responsible together with his team for keeping sports fans glued to Ghone for the one hour duration of the bi-weekly sports show-The GAME: Mondays @9pm and Saturdays @ 1pm.  With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, Bartels has built an impressive Resume in Radio and TV since starting out at Radio universe at the University of Ghana. In the last few years he’s worked as BBC World Service Country Correspondent for Ghana, host of the respected Citi Breakfast Show, Produced and anchored the Viasat 1 Champions league show, commentator for the erstwhile Gateway Broadcast Services (GBS) and sports analyst and anchor on the Biggest TV stations in Ghana.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ghana and has recently completed his training as a lawyer at the Ghana School of Law, waiting to be called to the BAR in October 2013.  2007 Media Trust honoured Bartels as the best young sports journalist in Ghana. Follow Sammy on Twitter @sammybartels

Eloquent, beautiful, intelligent and multi-talented; best words to describe this confident 25 year old Psychology and Linguistics graduate from the University Of Ghana, Berla.

The liveliness with which she controls the waves every Monday to Thursday on Rythmz from 12-2pm makes her a delight to watch alongside her guru black partner, Black Boy.

Her truest and deepest faculty is that suave in entertainment news which she delivers with a touch of brilliance on the daily buzz and her weekly entertainment news show, OMNIBUZZ which airs every Sunday at 3:30pm.

Call her the diva of daytime TV and you wouldn’t be wrong.
