TedxLabone, an independently organised TEDTalk in Accra has opened nominations for Speakers for TedxLabone 2015, from the 1st to 31st October 2014. The 2015 event comes after a successful event held in April 2014.
Dubbed the “The Next Chapter”, TedxLabone 2015 which will take place at the National Theatre on 11th April, 2015 is set to thrill audience.
With 2014 event focusing on Informing, Empowering and Educating, where speakers informed, empowered and educated audience on their ideas, the next chapter of Ghana’s success story must now be told.
Members of the general public are therefore encouraged to nominate speakers of their choice, who will take Ghanaians to the next level in developmental thinking.
If one is itching to share information and knowledge, TedxLabone is on a mission to finding such great stories.
To nominate oneself or someone to speak and share ideas on TEDxLabone2015 platform, members of the general public should TEXT: SP:SPEAKER’S NAME & EMAIL ADDRESS to short Code 1762 on all networks, or visit www.tedxlabone.com to apply.
TEDxLabone2015 which has the theme as ‘The Next Chapter’ is simply appropriate, as Ghana is barely 5 years from the year 2020, and all attentions are drawn towards achieving what the President calls “Vision 2020”.
Speaking to the Communication Team of TedxLabone, the Curator for TedxLabone, Emmanuel Leslie Addae who is on his way out of the country on a scholarship to attend the 2014 TEDGlobal Conference from 3rd to 12th of October 2014 in Rio, Brazil; gingered Ghanaians up to nominate people they believe in as Speakers for the ‘Next Level’:
“We are on the mission to finding great stories. Are you passionate about your idea? Or do you believe in someone who is able to impact inspiring ideas to empower people and bring them to greatness? Then nominate yourself or that someone whom you think will give us these great ideas”, he encouraged.
Dubbed the Exchange, the Global Conference is being supported with scholarship to over 14 past Tedx event organisers under the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. These organisers including Emmanuel Addae will therefore have the opportunity to meet some amazing people from all over the world coming together to share ideas.
Emmanuel Leslie Addae is expected to come back home with his new global experience in organising TedTalks, and make TedxLabone 2015- ‘The Next Level’ a better event.
