Menaye Donkor says she’s gotten used to her footballer husband Sulley Muntari being sent off during matches and also receiving caution from referees.
She said this in reply to a question by host of The Divas Show Nana Aba Anamoah as to how it felt to see him sent off for on-the-field offences or misses a goal opportunity.
“… every wife you know you are concerned but with time I get better and I get used to it. So as much as i’m not the most happiest person when that happens hey its football, you cant dwell on it”.
“You just quantum deal with it and move on to the next, so exactly what you have to dwell on, talk about it or you get a heart attack over it because it is football so…it’s normal,” she added.
Menaye also rose to the defense of Muntari over some of the criticisms he’s received in the past for his conduct on the pitch, insisting his passion for football is sometimes misunderstood by the public.
